Born to a father who loves enka and a mother who loves ballroom dancing.

Since childhood, she has been familiar with classical piano and nursery rhymes.

In addition, she belonged to the drama club in junior high school. She exhibited an excellent sense of rhythm and expressive talent.

Entered Tokyo Gakugei University. She joined the traditional light music club, which has produced many famous jazz musicians, including drummer Junji Hirose and  FLYING KIDS vocalist Takashi Hamasaki. She met jazz for the first time.

She learned vocalization and basic singing techniques from Kayoko Miyama, a jazz vocalist with a unique vocalization and style.

While
attending school, she belonged to the salsa band Tokyo Latin Factory. She was the main vocalist atHarajukuCrocodile'slive.KyokoYamamotoandYoshikoSaitoarepastvocalistsoftheband 

After graduating from university, she began singing jazz at jazz live houses and bars in and around Tokyo. while working as an advertising designer.

She started performing live in her own band based at Omiya's live house ”Acoustic House Jam “with fellow bassist Noboru Ando and fellow native Kazu Yokoshima.

In addition, she has played gigs with many famous musicians, including guitarist Yosuke Onuma, pianist Shigeo Fukuda, and drummer Yoshito Eto.

In 1998, she won the gold medal in the vocal category of the 18th Asakusa Jazz Contest. It is well received. The song she sang is “MyShip”.She hears from the judges that she had ahardtimechoosing which one to win the grand prize.

In 2001, she quited her job and moved to New York alone. For about three months she received voice training and theory from language and local jazz musicians.
After returning to Japan, she married, raised children, and retired from the front line.

In 2017, she met Toshiko Noda. At the strong recommendation of Toshiko Noda, she will make a comeback as a jazz vocalist in 2023.
